Air fryer recipes your kids can try!

Does your child often get hungry between meals? Are they also big enough to operate kitchen appliances? Then it’s time for your kid to learn to fix up snacks for themselves with the KHIND air fryer!

Put your air fryer in basket mode, preheat it to 200 degrees Celsius, and you're all set to introduce your kids to these 3 simple recipes:

Chicken tenders

Cook time: 7- 8 minutes

Ingredients: Chicken breasts, eggs, breadcrumbs, black pepper and salt

Method

  1. Lightly beat 2 eggs in one bowl with 2 tablespoons of water
  2. In another bowl, put 450 grams of breadcrumbs and mix with a dash of black pepper and salt
  3. Slice chicken breast into small pieces and pat dry with paper towel
  4. Dip one chicken breast piece in egg mixture
    before coating in breadcrumbs
  5. Repeat step 4 until all pieces are breaded
  6. Arrange breaded chicken pieces side by side on the basket
  7. Cook at 200 degrees Celsius for 7- 8 minutes

Crispy cauliflower florets

Cook time: 7 - 10 minutes

Ingredients: Cauliflowers, salt, black pepper and olive oil

Method

  1. Cut cauliflower into small and thin pieces – “florets”
  2. Place florets in a bowl
  3. Add a dash of salt, black pepper, and olive oil
  4. Toss florets until evenly seasoned
  5. Put in air fryer basket – make sure the florets don’t overlap
  6. Cook at 200 degrees Celsius for 7-10 minutes

Sweet potato fries

Cook time: 10 - 12 minutes

Ingredients: Sweet potatoes, olive oil, salt

Method

  1. Cut sweet potato into sticks
  2. Soak in cold water for 20 minutes to remove excess starch – it will make the fries crispier
  3. Drain the water
  4. Dry the sticks with paper towels
  5. Place sticks in a bowl
  6. Add a dash of salt and olive oil
  7. Toss sticks until evenly seasoned
  8. Pour all of the sticks into the air fryer basket - no need to arrange neatly
  9. Cook at 200 degrees Celsius for 10 - 12 minutes

Teach your kiddo how to clean the air fryer too, and your job is done – Masterchef Junior is now in charge of their own snacks. Plus, this will give your children opportunities to practise being self-reliant! Just remember to stay around a little longer to make sure they’re handling the kitchen knife safely.
